The wireless data technology we know as WiFi is over 30 years old. WiFi was originally promoted with the slogan "The Standard for Wireless Fidelity. Then the technology was shortened to "Wireless Fidelity," which was eventually truncated to WiFi. In part, the acronym HiFi, which stands for High Fidelity, also played a role.

In the near future we will have a new wireless data transfer protocol WiFI 7 or IEEE 802.11be. It will work with CMU-MIMO technology, which allows you to support 16 data streams at once. In addition to the traditional 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, WiFi 7 will also support the 6 GHz band. All three frequency bands can operate simultaneously.
