That’s where Vo-Wi-Fi comes in handy – this technology allows you to connect to Wi-Fi and have access to a mobile operator via the Internet. As a result, even if you are out of reach of the mobile operator’s tower, but connected to the Internet (by means of Wi-Fi), you will still be able to get through.
How do I turn on VoWiFi?
If you want to activate it, you must first check with your operator that this technology is supported. At the moment, almost all mobile providers support VoWiFi, but I would check this issue with the technical support service just in case.
How do I enable this technology? In fact, there is no universal instruction, and Android developers shove the function in different places on the phone. Very often the feature can be found by invoking the “Curtain” menu by swiping your finger from top to bottom on the home screen. On Samsung and some other phones, the feature may be called “Wi-Fi Calls”.
Look for the feature in your phone’s “Settings,” very often it’s under “Network and Wi-Fi,” “Calls,” “SIM cards,” or “Phone.” On the iPhone, the function is turned on in “Settings” – “Phone” – turn on the slider “Wi-Fi Calls”.
But that’s not all. Some carriers also require you to activate a certain service in order for this technology to work. But I would still rather clarify the information with the technical support or the office of the company. Because the technology may not work today, but tomorrow it will be actively supported by your operator. Also, operators’ services are constantly changing.
How do I turn off VoWiFi?
Let me remind you that this function is turned off in the phone by default. So if you have not turned it on before, there is no need to worry about turning it off. If you have previously turned it on, then simply move the slider in the settings to the “Off” state. If you have activated any additional services from the operator, you should contact the operator.
